9/9/2006IT'S ALIIIIVE! So we experienced a rare moment of downtime because either PayPal or TotalChoiceHosting weirded out on me and I had to change the billing method etc etc. All is fine. We were only down a couple days, but I still want to apologize to the hostees for that. In particular, the only hostee who is active atm. X| *glares at the others*

NEW LAYOUT! It's called A Winter Dream. I really like it... that character in Chinese reads as gao1 (tall), but I have no idea what it would mean in Japanese as a kanji character. Probably the same thing or something similar. Anyway, the layout was downloaded from aethereality.net created by Aun Existe Amor (credits at the bottom). Links to the hostee, info, etc pages are those round button things to the right of the "Navigation" sidebar. I'll be tweaking the site for the next few days in case things look a bit weird.

Heh. So that "updating site while still at home" thing didn't really pan out. I'm still sort of at a loss as to what to really DO with the main site. Also, am lazy. With that said, nothing really new with site news except that Suppi and AngryCow look dead/on hiatus. Wbadger and I are the only ones that post regularly. With that said, I may start offering to host more people, but don't hold your breath. At the v. least will eventually get around to changing the layout...

Happy New Year! Returned from 6 month stint in China for the holidays. Later this month I'll return to MHC for the Spring semester. In site news: Removed the forum because it had been hacked. For how long I have no idea. I hadn't been to the forum in a while. Don't think anyone was looking at it anyway. I still have a month at home and I think I'll start working on the site again soon. Maybe find a new layout, figure out what I want to add to the site (a photo gallery?), open hosting options?, etc. I have a month at home and that's a lot of time to get a lot done.

Decided to get rid of the media page and create a message board (http://www.houkiboshi.net/phpbb). Our hosting company Total Choice Hosting has given us a bunch of random scripts and add-ons including this nifty board. I hope everyone will make use of it.

So far Suppi has up a flash of a Corgi that looks like Ali's dog Sachi XD. Ali will be putting up a blog on her site as soon as she gets started. :) In other news the tagboard (Tag-Board.com) was annoying me because of the pop-ups so I took it down. Currently looking for another free script that doesn't have pop-ups.
[EDIT]: Hostee page is up as well as Hostee Rules. Hostees be sure to read them. It is the hostee's responsibility to know the Hostee Rules and follow them. Info page is updated with a new english translation of Younha's Houki Boshi provided by Ali :D

Minor hosting crisis discovered. Turns out GoDaddy.com doesn't allow you to create additional FTP accounts (which would mean that I'd be unable to host anyone without giving them the admin account and password information -_-;;;). And so, after calling their tech support I decided to cancel my hosting plan with GoDaddy.com and move to Total Choice Hosting. Site is... somewhat up. Look out for hostees!

Purchased domain and host from GoDaddy.com. Started uploading main page information. Site up, but still under construction.
